MOLDABLE EXOTHERMIC MATERIALS

Exochem Corporation offers many different moldable exothermic materials designed to feed iron and steel castings.  The moldable is mixed with 14% water and mulled for approximately 2-1/2 minutes.  Sleeves made from a moldable can be blown or hand-rammed.  Sleeves should be baked at 375-425 degrees F about one hour for every inch of wall thickness.  A properly baked sleeve will be dark in color and have a sharp ring when struck.  A properly baked sleeve made from Exochem's moldables will have an indefinite shelf life.

These moldables can also be used as a padding compound for increasing feed distance or creating a "hot spot" in your casting. Exochem's moldables can be custom designed to fit your foundry's needs.  All moldables are made with quality materials and engineered for maximum performance.
